Carolina Rugby Foundation Election Process
Nominations: Nominations for a position on the Board of Directors shall be solicited from the full-time membership at least thirty (30) days in advance of the date on which the newly elected official will begin their term.
The full-time membership shall have ten (10) days to submit nominations to the organization. Upon receipt of the nominations, the Secretary or his designee shall notify each nominee of the nomination. Nominees will have five (5) days to either reject the nomination or accept the nomination and submit a biography to the organization.
If a nominee accepts the nomination, his name and biography shall be submitted to the full-time membership as a candidate for election. Any person seeking to hold office must be a full-time member in good standing.
Elections: The full-time membership shall have ten (10) days to cast their ballot from the official list of candidates and submit it to the organization. All Board of Director members shall be elected by a simple majority of the full-time membership holders.
Voting shall occur via the distribution, collection, and tallying of ballots that will be distributed to the full-time membership via the organization. The nomination and voting process may be processed partially or entirely via electronic mail.
Terms: All Board of Directors members shall hold such positions for one (1) year, though are eligible for re-election.
