Gentlemen,
This message is to inform all
involved parties that the
University of South Carolina
Men’s Rugby team will
only be traveling with one
complete side for the
2009 Palmetto Rugby Tournament.
Due to the Palmetto Tournament
falling on the same weekend as
our Fall Break, a majority of
our A/B players will not be
available for competition,
leaving it very difficult for us
to fill one complete side, let
alone the two that we
anticipated. Due to this
shortfall, it has been decided
that the
USC C-side match scheduled for
Friday, October 9th
will not take place, and
instead those players who are
available to travel will now be
joining the remaining A/B
players in an effort to enter
one respectable side for the
tournament.
With the majority of the team
consisting mostly of B & C
players, USC Men’s Rugby asks
for the possibility for its one
side to maintain the “B-side”
matches currently scheduled and
that the “A-side” matches be
rescheduled/deleted to
accommodate the change.
We apologize for this
inconvenience, though we have
taken every step possible to
guarantee our attendance under
the circumstances, especially
after a 2008 absence. If you
