Rent-a-Rugger
The University of South Carolina Men’s Rugby Club has launched our “Rent-A-Rugger” fundraiser.
Last summer, the club and rugby alumni, raised the funds necessary to onboard a university employee as a paid rugby coach. Funds raised through this endeavor will support the coach’s salary and other team expenses.
Here’s how it works:
For a minimum donation of $95 you can have a rugger work up to five hours at your Columbia area home or property. We’ll do all sorts of odd jobs: clearing leaves or property, painting, yardwork, and furniture moving, etc.
If you have a big job, request more than one rugger. You play the role of foreperson and we’ll “tackle” your project. Your payment to the rugby club can be directed to the South Carolina Men’s Rugby Club Endowment.
Our club is composed of more than 50 dedicated student athletes. We are embracing this fundraiser because we are committed to funding our head coach position. Our coach is more than a field tactician and drill instructor. He is a mentor, friend and UofSC alumni.
We have identified the following dates this winter/spring as workdays: January 21, Feb. 11, March 25 and April 22. We’ll show up at your home or property at 9 a.m. and work until 2 p.m.
Complete the information below to make your work request. If you have an immediate question, please contact Men’s Rugby Coach John Roberts.
