Greene Street Field at the Colonial Life Arena |
 |
|
Greene Street Field at the Colonial Life Arena
is the University of South Carolina's newest
campus recreational field. Opened during the
2009-2010 school year, the field serves many of
the school's sports clubs, including Men's Rugby
at the University of South Carolina. Though not
the club's primary pitch, Greene Street Field
serves as an all-weather back-up surface to
ensure Men's Rugby fulfills all of its home
match obligations. The pitch also functions as a
venue for matches when the STWFC Field is
unavailable due to previously scheduled events. |
|
Gameday Information |
|
Please arrive for games at least 15 minutes
prior to kick-off, both to ensure you make it to
the match on time and to enjoy our pre-match
festivities. Matches may be cancelled, match
times may be changed, or opponents may be
changed at any time, so please keep up-to-date
with us here at uscrugby.org. We ask that our
spectators respect our field rope and stand at
least 5m away from the pitch at all times in
accordance to USA Rugby's safety regulations. |
|
Pitch Rules
|
1. No
alcohol of any form is allowed on the pitch,
open or not.
2. In accordance with University of South
Carolina wellness policy, tobacco and other
smoking products are not allowed on the pitch.
3. No dogs or other pets are allowed on the
pitch.
4. No person may play golf or in any other way
advertently harm the playing surface.
5. Failure to abide by these rules, or any rules
posted on the playing surface, may result in a
fine or removal from the facility. |

Parking Information |
1.
The host club generally suggests parking next to
the Coliseum or Colonial Life Arena, located across Blossom Street from
the Strom Thurmond Wellness and Fitness Center.
There are also a number of meter spots along
Assembly Street, as the City of Columbia does
not assess meter fines on the weekend.
2. Do NOT park in the STWC lot south of
Blossom Street or the Greek Village if you do
not have a pass for said lots. You will be towed
if you do so.
3. Please remember that USC's campus is in the
heart of downtown Columbia, and that parking is
sometimes at a premium. This is something to
factor in to your travel arrangements. |
